Paints - Painters always ask me what colors to bring so I am providing this list of colors as a suggestion:

If you are taking a studio workshop and we are painting from photos please bring at least 3 awesome photos to paint from.

Large mirror to see your reflection in. (Acrylic Mirrors are nice, they do not break as easily)

Two clip on lights and extension cords

Natural and small spot light

I like 2 light stands. One to attach a mirror to and the other a light

2 swivel tilt brackets to hold mirror on light stand

GOING GREEN with PAINTING:
Oil Painting without Solvents, Free your studio of dangerous solvents by using walnut oil in place of turpentine or odorless mineral spirits when cleaning brushes. Walnut oil removes color from the artist's brush or tool as effectively as odorless paint thinners, without creating a solvent hazard. Walnut oil is a natural vegetable oil that neither evaporates nor removes essential oils. The addition of walnut oil to color will increase flow and slow the drying. More Here
